POPULATION : of Saint 178,015 inhabitants.
LOCATION of Saint Lucia is in the Caribbean.
UNIQUE to Saint Lucia is the "Saint Lucia Amazon" amazona versicolar is a parrot species endemic to Saint Lucia and is The National Bird.
VOLCANOES.: Twin Volcanic Cones, The "gros piton" and the "petite piton " are a national symbol and are represented by triangles on the National flag.
FAMOUS : Saint Lucy of Syracuse. Saint Lucia is the only country in the world named after a woman.
NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS.:  Sir Arthur Lewis won the Nobel Prize in economics in 1979 and the poet Derek Walcott received the Nobel prize in Literature in 1992.
HISTORY : Independence for Saint Lucia was achieved on 22 February 1979 from the UK. 
CONFLICTS.:  France and England fought over Saint Lucia throughout the 17th and early 18th century with the possession changing 14 times between the two countries.
