Isn't this a lovely scene !! .this has been captured in Maine and This is the Bar Harbour Light, and has been active since it was built in 1858 .This is located in Hancock county and is the biggest Island off the coast of Maine.The Park reserves most of Mount Desert Island and most of its associated smaller Islands along the coast of Maine. Originally designated Sieur de Monts National Monument bv Presidential proclamation in 1916. The Park was renamed and re designated Lafayette National Park in 1919. The Park was renemed Acadia National Park in 1929.
This area was originally inhabited by the "wabanaki People'
