SHORT STOP FOR WATER BY THE INDIAN PACIFIC
 Cook : SA.    (Journey #2 )
A card from Cook in South Australia..This is the main stop on the Nullabor ( means no trees ) Plains for the Indian Pacific trains for fuel and water..This also is the location for the worlds longest stretch of straight railway line in the world at 478 kilometers ( 297 miles ). This has to be smallest town that I have ever been in ..taking a look around while waiting for the train to refuel on my Trans National train journey  from Sydney to Perth WA. this town has a population of five people..amazing..This stop was part of my trip on this great "Indian Pacific Train" on my way to Perth..as part of my "Around the World by Train " adventure. This is another  souvenir card home of my stop   here at Cook on the Nullabor Plains Posted 30 March 2009.
