WHAT A MARVELOUS LOOKING BIRD THE WHITE TAILED EAGLE IS .
NORWAY.:

A beautiful card of the lovely looking Eagle. This is the White Tailed Eagle  (haliaeetus albicilla ). This wonderful bird is also called a Sea eagle or a Grey Sea Eagle is a close cousin also of the Bald Eagle. The White Sea Eagle is a very large bird and is on average the largest of any Eagle..some have been found to live for over twenty five years but 21 is the norm..This raptors diet is varied depending on conditions and  is usually fish, birds and mammals also they tend to steal off other birds and otters and are very opportunistic. They are also known to consume baby deer and lambs..also large swans..There appears to be a recovery of these fine birds as they were very close to extinction due to over hunting..While in Germany , Norway , Poland , and Iceland now  harbour the largest surviving populations they appear to be making a good recovery in many other areas now in Western , Central, and Southern Europe..
