Nairobi : Kenya. Known as " The Green City in the Sun" and " Nai "
This welcomed card Multi View shows various scenes of Kenya's Capital Nairobi in its many modern forms.. Nairobi is the largest City in Kenya and the city and its surrounding areas also form Nairobi County. The word Nairobi comes from the Maasai Phrase "Enkare Nyrobi"which translates to "Cold Water".The phrase is also the name for the Nairobi River which in turn lent its name to the city, However it is popularly named" The Green City in the Sun".and is surrounded by many villa suburbs.
Inhabitants of Nairobi are called Nairobians and the City is governed by the county Government of Nairobi who's current Governor is Evans Kidero.Nairobi is now one of the most prominent cities in Africa both financially and politically. In 1905 Nairobi replaced Mombassa as the Capital of Kenya and the city grew quickly around administaration and tourism.Situated between the cities of Kampala and Mombassa and is situated on the edge of the Rift Valley.Nairobi has a subtropical mountain climate Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjairo are close by the capital and be visible on a clear day..
