This is a"Greetings From " card that I posted home while in Budapest recently. I like to collect these cards that are posted from state of origin..Some of the Statistics for Hungary are :
TOTAL AREA : is 93, 030 KM2 with a population of 9, 877,365 . The CAPITAL CITY is Budapest . FAMOUS HUNGARIANS : include: Bela Bartok ,Lajos Kossuth , Bela Lugosi , Andre Kertsz .The state symbol of Hungary is the "Holy Crown of Hungary
.THERMAL SPAS : Hungary has one of the most important "Thermal Spring" cultures in all of Europe. LONG HISTORY : Hungary is one of the oldest countries in Europe it was founded in 896 long before Germany and France became separate entities.
LANGUAGE: :The Hungarian language is known as Magyar and is not an Indo- European language it has only two related languages in Europe and they are Finnish and Estonian.
LAKE: Balaton is the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe and a major tourist destination.
INVENTIONS:The "Rubiks' Cube.. the famous "logic toy" was invented by a Hungarian engineer named Erno Rubik.
