Ho Chi Min City ( SAIGON )
A great postcard showing a " bread seller" these can be found especially at bus and train stations early in the morning with this lovely fresh bread "Baguettes" just the thing when getting a bus or train..and the fragrance of the fresh hot bread is wonderful early in the day especially when you are traveling and carrying some fresh fillings are just so good.. Certainly, one of the many great things that the French Colonials left behind was their bread and pastry making skills that was passed on to the Vietnamese, also, the coffee...so good in the morning..especially in the magnificent little coffee makers that it is served in..
A souvenir postcard posted home from Ho Chi Min City (Saigon ) on my visit 04 July 2009. This was such a great stop on my "Around the World by Train " journey as I head north with great anticipation.
