Traveling from east to west one can observe terrain that ranges from coastal swamps and piney woods to rolling plains, rugged hills and finally desert and mountains of the "Big Bend". Due to its history as a Centre for the United States Cattle industry .Texas has always been associated with the image of the "Cowboy".
