                                                                        Sugar Gliders :
 This is one of a series of cards " Green bushes " by Australia Post. A maxi card "first day of release" in Perth WA.  Card shows The loveable Sugar Glider with young. Sugar Gliders are found in the Northern  and  Eastern parts of mainland Australia  and also Tasmania and New Guinea and several Islands in The Bismark Archipeligo.They can be found in any forested area with a good food supply but are mainly found in forrests of eucalyptus trees. Being nocturnal they sleep in nests during the day and are active at night. During the night they hunt insects and small Vertibrates and feed on the sweet sap of some Eucalypts, Acasia, and Gum trees. This is a lovely series of Native animals.
