A really lovely colourful card showing This Native American POW-WOW.. What a fine card that shows the various and intricate dress of the individual in this scene.. Must be so wonderful to attend or be part of these wonderful Native American Pow Wows festival. A great card just arrived from a friend in England ..The card shows the Travelling Post office which was a big part of the Royal Mail system.This is a multi -view card showing some of the various scenes of the Travelling Post Office train... I am not sure if this Post Office Train is any longer in service. !!! Thanks also for the nice stamps..Thank you so much Jemma for this great card..

 Birdwood  SA.

This is one in a new series of Australian wildlife cards from OZ Post and the series is called "Flightless Birds" a recent first day release in Birdwood South Australia depicting the Cassowary. great card !! love the postmark.!! The Cassowary is one of a small gruop of "Flightless Birds" in the world.!

 The Southern Cassowary (  Casuarius casuarius ) also known as the "Double Wattle Cassowary. The Cassowary is a large black flightless bird like the Emu and the Ostrich. The bird has a large horn like feature that sits on its head known as a "Casque" ..This bird feeds on the forrest floor of many tropical fruits and berries.. and can be very dangerous if approached especially with young .The coloured wattle beneath its beak is highly visible also very colourful..and can be seen in Northern Queenslands Rainforrests.

Galveston Island TX  USA

Thanks Staff and Sherry for taking time out on your trip to send this card from Galveston Island in Texas.
On September the 13th 2008 Hurricane IKE roared ashore on Galveston Island bringing with it a massive saltwater storm surge that killed thousands of trees . including many of the 100 year old oaks that had ben planted after the great hurricane of 1900. Many of the trees that were left were carved into whimsical sculptures.

"The First Cricket Tour " a  "first day "release  Maxi card with postmark "walkabout wickets" showing  The Australian Aboriginal XI that toured  England in 1868..The photograph on the card is courtesy of Lincolnshire County Council Heritage Service..  What a great card..

I really like lighthouses and this is another card for my lighthouse collection.This card from a good friend in Texas and thank you Ruby for this card being one of many that you have sent me .. This card shows the Oak Island Lighthouse as seen through the reeds ofthe dunes on the Atlantic shore.built in 1958 it stands at 169 feet high and is one of the most recently built lighthouses on The US shoreline and is located on Oak Island N C. Thanks again Ruby..

Alappuzha : INDIA.:

This is a surprise card and is a lovely scene of one of these boats from Kerala in South India These boats are huge and are slow moving barges and used for pleisure trips.They are re worked models of "Kettuvallams (in the Malayalam language ), kettu means "tied with ropes" and vallam means boat which in earlier times were used to carry rice and spices.

This is another recent release by Australia Post of Australian wildlfe ..This series is called the "Flightless Birds." These maxi cards were released "First Day of Issue in Birdwood South Australia on the 7th May 2019. I love the First Day postmark and stamp.
I feel that these cards will also be very popular.These are Australias only flightless birds..

A nice black and white card showing 'The Residence" In Wurzburg ..a wonderful looking enrance to wonderful building The lovely intricate wrought Ironwork in the gates at the grand  entrance is really something..This is a Unesco World Hertitage Site..and this old card , being in black and white format , I believe gives the card that much more impact when viewed.Thank you Claudia for this lovely surprise card

I have just received this card from a fellow swpper and is of bas releif of Mahishamardini .. I do not know where this is located as there is no information on the card..a fine and much complicated scene. This is a Unesco World Heritage site. Thank you Prakash for this card.

The scene on the card shows the lovely lakes of "Platvice  National Park .The 16 different lakes are very popular for their lovely shades of turquoise colour.with many cascades and waterfalls.This is a Unesco World Heritage site. Just received this lovely card from Pennsylvania USA.. from  Irma thank you so much for this card showing these local  "Amish"  people of Pennsylvania plodding along in their lovely horse drawn buggy .. These people lead a rather secluded life keeping to themselves and shunning modern technology . This is a surprise post card.

This is a great card and a terrific pic of this big "red" Kangaroo. This is a recent release by Australia Post and is one in a series of new large glossy wildlife cards. The card shows this inquisitive big red Kangaroo. These "red" Kangaroos are the largest of all the kangaroos and grow up to two meters tall and can be quite vicious especially when it is breeding time. Great pic  EH!!!
