A surprise card from New Mexico of the Carlsbad Caverns .. These caverns must be incerdible to witness as staed by this sender from her recent visit . Thank you so much Heidi for this Unesco site .
Located in The Guardalupe Mountains of Southern New Mexico the Carlsbad Caverns National Park covers over 120 limestone caves in a fossil reef laid down 50 million years ago. Indigenous native American Indians lived here in this area twelve to fourteen thousand years ago Thier pichographs have been found and cooking ring sites have been found within the parks boundaries . This is a Unesco World Heritage site .Thanl youHeidi .

What a great card showing a map of the cityof Santa Fe in 1882.. Thank you so much Barbara for this great card I love it !1also the Bugs Bunny stamps.. what a great series of stamps they are.
The City of Santa Fe NM was originally occupied by Indigenous Americans who had built a number of Pueblo villages 1050 to 1150 One of the most earliest settlements in what is today the city of Santa Fe.

Cumbres and Toltec Railroad of New Mexico,,Advertised as Americas most authentic steam railroad from the coal tipple to the conductors smile The train runs through the beautiful and scenic San Juan Mountains and crosses the Colorado and New Mexico border eleven times.
