    What a lovely colourful card of the "Blue Footed Booby" bird from The Galapagos Islands  .I am thrilled with this lovely card and thank you so much my dear Inge for thinking of me on you exciting visit to those amaxing Islands  . My thoughts and meemories of my visit there are still vivid and loved my visit through those Islands too be most memorable indeed .The Blue Footed Booby bird is just one of the many magnificent species that can be found there . and a Photographers dream of all the wildlife..  Thank you so much for this card and as you mentioned that the Equadorian Postal Service is bankrupt and this card had to posted from Geramany  Thanks again my dear friend.

 A real surprise card and a first for this area of Japan This is ShodoShima on Shodo Island in Japan that is located in the inland Sea of Japan and the name means literally " Small Beans".. There are two towns on the Island "Tonosho and Shodoshima comprising the district of Shozu. The Island is famous for the setting of the novel "Twenty four eyes" and its subsequent film adaption..The area was the first area in Japan to successfully grow olives and is sometimes known as the "Olive Island ".

Fraser Island : AUSTRALIA.

A lovely colourful card from Fraser Island in southern  Queensland.
 Fraser Island is a heritage listed island located along the southern coast of Australia approximately 220 Kilometers ( 120 miles ) north of Brisbane and is a locality within the Fraser Coast region. The Islands length is about 120 kilometers (75 miles ) and its width is 24 kilometers and  15 (miles ) it was inscribed as a World Heritage site in 1992. The Island is considered to be the largest sand Island in the world at 1840 KM2. This is also Queenslands largest Island and the sixth largest Australian Island and largest Island on the East Coast.
The Island has rainforrest , woodland eucalyptus forrest , mangrove forrests and paet and wallum swamps.with sand dunes and coastal heaths..The Island is made up of sand that has been accumulating for over 750,000 years on volcanic bedrock that provides a natural catchment for the sediment which is carried on a strong nothwards current to the caost. Fraser island is home to a small number of mammal species and a diverse range of birds , reptiles and amphibians.including the occasional salt water crocodile and is part of The Fraser Coast Region and protected in the great Sandy National Park.

A lovely card showing the scenic Bruny Island in Tasmania.  Located off the south eastern coast of Tasmania Bruny island is actually two Islands North Bruny and South Bruny that are connected by a sandy isthmus.
These are seperated by the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. Storm Bay is located to the north east of the Island.Both the Island and The channel are named after the French explorer Bruni D' Entrecasteaux and its traditional aboriginal name was Lunawunna Allonah which survives as the name of the two Island settlements Allona and Nunawunna.
