This was a great night out in Budapest and it was the local Hard Rock Cafe..I always visit the Hard Rock Cafe's wherever they may be on my travels and always assured of  a great Hamburger and a few cold beers.. the big offshoot of this is the amazing memorabilia to be seen in these venues worldwide with no two pieces the same...There was some great pieces here and is easy to see why  I call these places the Museum of Rock and Roll.. One can be assured to meet many friendly people in these HRC's  This was no exception.and hear some great music of the many famous bands on the big screens.. I must say this time traveling through Eastern Europe was the hottest temperatures that I have ever endured in even all the time I lived in Europe..(see card 38 degrees..) amazing..I must say that Budapest is right at the top of my list of beautiful cities visited along with Prague..I have enjoyed my time here..

 As my stay here was a brief one I really want to return as there are friends here that I did not get to visit due to my schedule at the time.. I will return to Bucharest, There is also so much that I still want to see here..especially my friends..Eh! Simona..

My visit to Athens was as not as long as I wanted it to be..unfortunately.. I arrived on an Olympic flight from Izmir and it was late afternoon.. as advised I headed for the bus stop after clearing immigration and I found the city bus that I wanted and  fares were free...all transport was free..well..this is a change..I had previously booked a hostel in town and was there in no time..The main thing at this time was to get something to eat and I was really looking forward to getting into many of those legendary Greek Salads...and I was not dissapointed.

Next day was  a great day walking allover in many parts of the city..Really enjoying the Greek food and coffee...chatting with many locals whom all had a relative living somewhere in Australia and complaining about where there country was at this period in time, its economy and its huge debts.!!
 I also did a quick once around on the "Red Bus"...The hop on " Hop Off" bus I have found is always a great way to go and good value to check the city venues that I wanted to visit. The Acropolis, The Parthenon, Also was great chance to visit the Hard Rock cafe...a venue I visit in all the cities I visit if one is available..love HRC.'s..

THIS WAS A LONG WALK..

  Whenever I am in a city that has a "Hard Rock Cafe" I always pay a visit ..have a few beers and one of their great Hamburgers and fries.. and also buy a "guitar pin " for my cap.. Istanbul was no exception .I must say I had quite a bit of trouble locating it and got lost a few times ( nothing new ) and when I found it I was standing across the road from it !! unlike most Hard Rocks there was no big guitar outside showing its presence.(Aparently the guitar was not allowed by city ordinance )..I even asked taxi drivers ( Just across the road ) and they DIDN"T even know where it was located!!!..it surely was long walk down a very pleasant street with no traffic only a very old tram.After my visit I decided to catch the old tram...how nice it was ..also saved a long walk. One thing noticeable are that there are cats just everywhere..it surely is an animal friendly city.

I REALLY LIKED THIS CARD OF ST.LOUIS.

 I always try to find really different cards when sending home my travel cards.. This one I really liked when in St Louis..I really liked St.Louis and immediately felt comfortable there ..and like so many destinations I would have liked to stay longer. , but also a great reason to return. The music scene here is great and wanted to see and visit "Blueberry Hill" music place ...the home of Chuck berry but he was out of town. I write this card while waiting for the "Texas Eagle" Train Service to Dallas Texas. Posted 28 July 2014... I love St. Louis..

 A multi -view card from Warsaw showing the beautiful Palaces of this wonderful city..There was so much I wanted to see but my time was limited as I had to get to Krakow for the big VT meeting of worldwide travelers.I walked allover this city and tried to see as much of the history as I could..
