   A surpise card from a good friend from Norway travelling in Sweden  for Christmas. . Thank you so much Marie for thinking of me at this time with your kind christmas and New Year greetings.  This card shows a market place in Sweden but unfortunately I cannot read the text .. a  nice black and white card showing this what seems to be a very busy  Christmas marketplace .. This is another surprise card from my mate Keith in Melbourne..I think it is Swedish and is a coloured poster of a popular film " The Ladykillers" Thank you Keith for this card.. I don't know of this movie..but looks to be a comedy...thanks mate.

VIKINGS : in the 9th and 10th Centuries Swedish Vikings invaded an settled in parts of Eastern Europe as far east as Constantinople. ( Turkey ).
ANIMALS.: There are more than 300,00 Moose in Sweden.
FAMOUS SWEDES : include , Greta Garbo , Alfred Nobel , Steig Larsson , Astrid Lindgren .
SPECIAL DAY :Each year on October the 4th The Swedes celebrate " Kanelbullens Dag" Cinnamon Bun Day.

"Greetings from" Sweden  ..another in this nice series of cards .. The card shows the statistics of Sweden, a country with a population of 9, 658,301 , who live in an area of 449,964 KLM 2.  Kebnekaise is the Highest mountain in the country at 2,106 meters. "Dala Horse" is a painted and decorated wooden horse that is a symbol of Sweden and there are also 300,000 moose in Sweden. The traditional Swedish houses are painted in red color a paint made in Falu.
