A great card show ing the "El" Metro in Chicago  The EL is an abreviation for elevated .. I used this metro when I was in Chicago..What a great city..but dangerous nevertheless.. Thank you so much Arnold for thinking of me on your recent visit to Chicago..I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.  This is a great black and white card of the EL thanks mate   great stamp..!!

These Metro maps of city's metros are always a great card to receive as they are it seems hard to get..Thank you so much Julia for finding this card for me and sending it to me.. This card shows the vast Metro system in the city of Moscow..to travel on this metro is an amazing experience as the underground stations have to be seen to be beleived ..one would be forgiven for thinking that they had got off the Metro in a Museum..they are just that wonderful..Thank you Julia I love this card.. I love these train and metro cards from the various cities of the world..This card shows the lovely Moscow Metro station "Komsomolskaya".( 1935 ) take a.look at the marvelous interior of this station.!!.. I was really taken by the ornate beauty of the Moscow Metro Stations when visiting Moscow..more like museums than Metro Stations..sensational..Thank you Ksenia for this lovely Postcrossing card.

The London Underground (Tube ):
 What a great card from a worker on this underground train system.
The London Underground was the first Underground Rail system in the World  1863. The 20's 30's and 40's saw many iconic posters produced promoting the London Underground Transport System...This is one such iconic poster of the period.. Called "Lure of the Underground" by Alfred Leete1927..Alfred Leete was a well known comic illustrator and not only included posters but cartoons and postcards as well as book illustrations. His most famous poster was "Your Country Needs You in 1914 and that appeared on the cover of the "London Opinion" and was used as a recruitment poster ..

What a great card of the old type London Underground (tube ) ..This train was built in 1938 and was a familiar sight on the Bakerloo, Northern and Piccadilly Lines. This train is kept and maintained in perfect working order By London Transport for the pleasure of the public. This particular train is kept and maintained by The London Transport Museum.
