  Thank youArnold for this great historical Postcard swap..  The card shows the meeting of the trans National Railway and Commemorates The joining of the two  ends of the 1,912 mile Trans Continental Railroad in 1869 which linked The Eastern and Western Rail networks of the United States. This site is locted in Promotory Summit Utah the site of The Golden Spike !great stamps !

ZION NATIONAL PARK
One of Zion National Parks most facinating landmarks is the "subway" The exquisitley formed :Subway" can be found in the left fork of North Creek in the parks western section.

When I first received this card it so much looked like a scene from Central Australia of a famous "Pillar" in the desert in the Northern Territory but I see it is from Utah in the USA ..there is no information on the card of its location only "Utah".. a lovely colurful card of the red earth...Thank you Elizabeth for this surprise card.

Thank you Shelley for tis and other cards from your recent visits to many of the famous American National Parks,..This is from Zion National Park in Utah.

Six women, five who were students from The University of Utah ceremoniously opened Zion National Parks first tourist season on May 15th 1920.The previous tourist season ended before Zion was officially declared Utah's first in November 1919, 3,692 people visited Zion National Park during its first season National Park compared to nearly three million today..

A lovely coloured card showing the view into this amazing National Park that is The Arches National Park in Utah  USA..This would be a wonderful place to visit I agree Arnold.. Thank you so much for this card..
The Courthouse Towers Arches National Park UTAH.
The formations in The Courthouse Towers area are remnants of a large "mesa" which was eroded away by a stream , as canyons were cut into the landscape resistant masses of  Entrada sandstone were isolated. The large sandstone monoliths gradually eroded into separate strangely cut out shapes. The windows section can be seen rising in the distance..

Dead Horse Point : UT.

So many of these National park cards that I receive are so truly lovely cards and this card is one...showing The scene called Dead Horse Point in the Park of the same name in Utah. A truly lovely sight of it here  dusted with snow , and one that I would love to see one day.. Thanks Bert for this great swap..

 Once again I receive another really lovely card...The scene on this card is truly beautiful...Mother Nature at her best. Thank you Arnold for the swap of this wonderful card of The Bryce Canyon National Park. This will go into my favourites.also The many great stamps that you add to my cards.
 The phenomenal rock formations of Bryce canyon are very much enhanced in the winter months with the snow and ice glazing the many peaks.The wet weather brings out the subtle colours of the rocks enabling visitors to see the many layers carved out over the thousands of years. Thanks Arnold.

This really must be a wonderful sight to see in this Arches National Park in the State of Utah.. The y named it a fiery furnace due to its clours and flame shaped red Sandstone cliffsthis is in the centre of The Arches National park where two viewing areas provide an overlook of the "Fiery Furnace" as well as Salt Valley and at least 3 other arches. Thank you Bert for this fine card ..I would really like to see this wonderful National Park one day. Thank you also for remembering me with the Chinese New Year stamps.
