  Thank you Arnold for yet another State Bird card for my collection ..  so funny how they were posted at different times and all arrived togeather   such is the postal system these days and one has to wonder when it will return to normal. !!  This postcard in this State Bird and Flower series is..The State Bird of Oregon  " The Western Meadowlark" and The State Flower of Oregon is  "The  Oregon Grape"  Thank you again Arnold for this swap card and also adding the Bugs Bunny stamps for me.

I have finally received a map card of the State of Oregon...one of the last I had to find..This is an attractive State map card also showing the many cities highways and historical attractions. The State of Oregon is located in The Pacific northwest of the country bordered on its west by the Pacific Ocean, Washington State to the north , California in the south, Idaho in the east and on its southeast is Nevada. The Columbia River dileanates most of Oregon's Northern boundary., and the Snake River dileanates much of the eastern boundary..it is one of only three states of the contigous United States to have a coastline on the Pacific Ocean. An autonomous government was formed in The Oregon Country in 1843 and The Oregon Territory was formed in 1848 .Oregon became the 33rd State on The 14th February 1859.Oregon is known for its beautiful and diverse landscape with its widnswept Pacific coastline, volcano studded Cascade mountain ranges., abundant bodies of water in and west of the Cascade Ranges, dense evergreen mixed and deciduous forrest at lower elevations, and a high desert sprawling across most of its east all the way to the Great Basin.
 The largest city is Portland and the Capital city is Salem. Ranked 9th in the USA in area with 98,381 square miles. (255,026 sq.Kilometers ) Thank you Linda for this really nice state map card...I really like this one..
