That was so thoughtful of you to send this card as I mentioned that I liked it ! This is a surprise card ! Being a big animal lover thi is a great card !

 The card says :The traditional music of Ireland is both played and heard with great passion in the whole of the country of Ireland and has really flourished in recent years. The most common musical instruments for Irish music are the Fiddle and the Bodhan , an accordian and often spoons.most dance and music lessons are promptu and  is in pubs and have som regulars  who add some more zest to the scene.

 I have just received this most wonderful card. !! I saw this card o my :"Surprise cards" site and mentioned how much I loved it ..and WOW  here it is .!!.  Thank you so much dear Paula for sending me this card . This is one of the most heart warming  cards showing this amazing monument to  Ireland and its people  that I have  seen. !
  This card shows the  Large outdoor Stainless Steel  "Feathers" sculptured monument to the Peoples of Ireland that suffered from the great Famine  and was donated by the Native American "Choctaw Tribe " in  1847  of "The great Hunger" despite The Choctaw peoples themselves suffering great hardships ..and poverty on their reservation.. it is estimated that this donation would be  around $20.thousand  dollars in todays valaue.This Monument can be found in Ballick Patk in Middleton County  Cork...

 On my last vist to The USA  I vited Oklahoma and also The Choctaw and Chickishaw Native People s Reservation.. This was a most interesting place tovisit and witness the peoples amazing culture  and history of their  hardships and their life today where they are.. Thank you Stafford for making this visit possible..  also the rest of what we did and where we went in Oklahoma.

Just arrived is this big card from a fellow card swapper in Ireland.. Thank you Paula for this surprise card .. The card showthe destruction of the RMS Leinster my a german submarines torpedo .This is a commemorative card bought out by The Irish Postal Service about this event with also a matching commemorative stamp to commemorate the sinking and to remeber the 21 Postal workers who were among the 510 people who lost their lives on that day .10th October 1918.   Thank you Paula for this card.

card shows The 1916 Proclamation: from the Provisional Government of the Irish Republic .This particular poster of This Proclamation was torn off the burning building of The General Post Office in  O' Connell Street Dublin at the end of the Easter week uprising in 1916. This is one of the very few copies of the proclamation to have been posted up in a public place. a great card and thanks Baz...

RICKENBACKER ELECTRO- SPANISH GUITAR  1935

Another great Classi Guitars card.. This one shows The Rickenbacker Electro- Spanish 1935. This guitar was built by The Electro String Instrument corporation.of Los Angeles California.and is in a private collection.
This rare little instrument is a cousin of The Electric Hawaiian lap style guitars and was one of the first electric guitars offered commercially on the market. Hawaiian music was extremely popular throughout the 1930's.Hawaiian guitars were featured on many country and pop records of the period This three quarter sized electric guitar was made to be played conventionally and was used briefly by a few pioneering guitarists including Eldon Shamblin of Bob Wills Texas Playboys.
