Thank you for this surprise Postcrossing card from Newfoundland but sent from Australia..with both sets of stamps..This is a very clourful card showing this lovely lighthouse on Cape Bona Vista ..This area was first visited by Europeans in 1497 and all the surrounding lands were claimed by John Abbot for King Henry VII of England. Five years after Columbus dicovered the West indies,,isn't it funny how these so called explorers discovered these wonderful places...just like the never existed and claimed them for somebody else...Thank you for this lovely colourful card '
