KAREN WOMEN   NTH.THAILAND
Maehongson: THAILAND.:

This card shows the"Long Neck" of Thailand .all washing their feet .. I saw these long neck women also when I was in Burma. very unusual.
Nai Soi is a small village located in Mae Hong Son Province in northern Thailand and is under the administration of  the Thai authorities. The town is well known for the refugee camp that is there and has the biggest "Karenni" settlement of the three villages. Nai Soi is also home to a large population of "Kayan" people in Thailand in the last 20 years the Population of Kayan people has grown to 520 the Kayan are a sub group of the "Karenni" minority in Burma. The Kayan women are famous for wearing brass rings around their necks giving the illusion of an elongated neck. Not all Kayan women wear the brass rings..
Once again thank you Parco for this really colourful and nice card from this area in Thailand.

Bangkok.: THAILAND.:                         " Locals love them"

Street vendors are such an abundance and so many different sellers have such a variety of different "Street Food". I particularly liked the street food although many people worry about it..I found it be clean and enjoyable..The fresh fruit is the best I found..

This is a card  (above ) I chose for a souvenir on a trip here as I really loved the "Tuk Tuk" in the picture..So versatile and used for so many different applications.. here we see the large and heavy loads that they are capable of performing. Also my picture of a load of girls... I love these and always use these when in Thailand and used them all over the country..although they do vary a bit they are a very inexpensive form of transport for the locals and visitors alike. This was from my first "Around the World by Train" journey visit to Thailand.

WAT CHAIMONGKOL AYUTTHAYA.
Ayutthaya. THAILAND.:                    The Temple of Yai Chai Mongkol

This was a day visit to this amazing old Capital Thai city..I must say I was enthralled at all that I got see here..Really hard to take in the vast amounts of ancient Thai Temples, Chedis, a stupas, and the many statues,,so many beheaded by the rampaging Burmese  long ago..so good to just awhile and contemplate what went on here all those years ago.. I was lucky as my days have had absolutely fantastic weather which makes it so much easier to see and enjoy.. I have a wonderful Tuk Tuk driver and guide for the day..allowing me to obtain some information on the so many various locations. This I would say to anyone is a must see site...bring your walking shoes and plenty of water...This was a souvenir card from this location and stop on my "Around the World by Train journey.Amazing location.

I was lucky as I had a wonderful Tuk Tuk driver who was a history teacher and so interesting to understand what happened here ...so long ago...This was a major highlight this stop to visit Sukhothai on my stay in Thailand .. This is a souvenir card that I kept from my visit here to this amazing complex in Sukhothai of Chedis, Temples, Monuments and just so much early Thai architecture..This was once the Capital of Thailand and was ransacked by the Burmese for the gold..A day here is really not long enough and I would surely like to return to this truly amazing old city.. I visited this site  as a "must see" stopover on my "Around the World by Train" Journey..This is a "must see"destination.
