 Thank you so much Dear cathy for this great Aussie postcard  that commemorates ANZAC Day here in Australia and New Zealand.  Anzac Day  is celebreated on the 25th of April every year  in every town village and city in  Australia  and New Zealand in commemortaion of all the many lives lost  to war..originating in the first World War of 1914  - 1918   a lovely  maxi card with matching stamp.  Thank you Cathy..

 A card received recently from Broken hill in the far westt Of the New South Walses  state  . A huge ming company BHP ..,that started here as a smal silver mine , and  is now world wide and one of the biggest mining companies in the world .   A great town to visit and  a  really outback A"Aussie" town  They call it the "Silver City "   Thank you Kristy for this card   a great "aussie crad"

 I have just received my delivery from Australia Post and in the order was the latest Relaese by Australia Post of this years Chinese New Year Zodiac card 'The Year of the Rabbit " for the year of 2023..  as usual these cards are so nicely presented and are very popular and are wnted by mny of my friends who also collect this theme of Chinese New Year zodiac cards .

 There are many releases by Australia Post of our wildlife   I love to collect a lot of the wildlife cards and send them to friends and postcrossers ..This is one that I liked very much showing these two very young Tasmanian Devils  .I love it .I have a friend who I have sekected to receive this card soon .She is a great artist and I am sure she will make a wondeful drawing of this lovely card.

 What a surpise and such a great card from a local Postcrosser.  Thank you Marja for this great Emu selfie   .  They are really amazing birds and must be watched out for when driving Australias outback highways . as  by  my experiencethey tend to  run obe way and then the next and really onemust be aware and slow down as they are usually in  a mob. Thank you so much fot this card which I will add to my wildlife collection.

  AUSTRALIAN EMUS : 
   The Emu is Australias largest bird and can grow up yo two meters tall.,they have  shaggy greay brwon feathers with very few on its head and neck .Emus cannot fly but have really long legs and can run at speeds up yo fifty kilometers an hour !  are so often  are mistaken and thought to be ostriches...  which is not the case !. They also can be very agressive  when approached.

  This is something that I read and  was just so impressed  by that I just had to add this story to my blog. !!  We as humans think we are so good and strong with enourmous endurance !and are the best on the planet !! Well, I've got news for you.!! having read this article and looking at this luttle birds Amazing acheivement I felt commpelled to share it. I hope that you share the same interest in this amazing story as I do!    This is endurance !

                                           WORLD CHAMPION RECORD HOLDER .

 THE  BATAILED GODWIT :
  This story begins with this very young juvenile bird of some five months old  that was "tagged "leaves  YK Delta Alaska  on the 13th October 2022 on its most amazing flight to Australia of some 13,560 kilometers in  11 days .. NON STOP !  unbeleivable.. to think that this was a non stop flight without food and water ,sleep .with an average of 51 km/hr for 11 days.!The flight ended in Ansons Bay  Tasmania Australia on the 24th of October 2022.  This amazing feat of endurance has  beaten, and created a  new World Record for the longest continual flight of  a bird   The bird arrived and is lterally skin and bone using all its bodyweight to make the flight , and now rests to build up its strength again..  I find this so amazing ! I think of all that stormy weather encountered on this little birds journey !!

  What a great card !  Thank you Cathy for thislovely surprise  black / white card that has just arrived  . The card shows various photos over the years of Queen Elizabeth  II ,,  What a wonderful reign she had and what a wonderfully dedicated  time she had while serving as the Queen of Britain  The British Isles The Commonwealth and all her  protectorates.. and yes you are correct she will be surely missed.

  A lovely card showing the many Various  "Puffin Billy " steam train that are possible to ride at this site in Victoria that travel through the very scenic Dandenong Ranges   enabling the visitors to have great views from the open  carriages to enjoy this journet..  The kids especially love it as they can freely get to look out of the open carriages ..  There are a couple of great spots for the " photography buffs " as the train travels over some great Wooden Tressle Bridges  and through some wonderful forrested area .. I must say that I enjoyed my day  out there and  also a different tainride back again on a different steam engine !. I have always loved trains especially the Steam Enginges !! I have added a few pics of my day out there .. Thank you so much Adriana for thinking of me with this surprise card from your visit there ..

What a wonderful set of Cards these are ..My Favourite dogs of all. This is a first day release of three maxi cards by Australia Post Featuring "Australia Working Dogs " These cards were released on the 08 March 2022 in Hall ACT..  These dogs are famous worldwide for their working ability.
