 A lovely wildlife card has just arrived and it is also from Finland , I very seldom get a card from Finland and t now ,two togeather.. !!  This is a Postcrossing card and it shows the wildlife of Finland . I love wildlife cards and cn imagine how prolific the wildlife must be up in those huge lovely forrests. My memories of Finland are of those great forrests..  a lovely country to visit. Thank you (Kitos ) Nellie  for this lovely wildlife cad.

 The  Malayan Tapir is the largest of the four species of Tapir. They have four toes on their front feet and three toes on their back feetThey have a special black / white patern ,They are mainly browsers and grab their food with their long noses . Tapirs spray urine to mark their territories , These animals are protected as they are heavily hunted bypoachers !

"The European "Mufflon"from the beginning of the 20th Century " Mufflon" were introduced into Germany from Corsica and Sardinia for for park and game animals...male Mufflon are known as rams as the females are known as Ewes  and babies are known as lambs..Originally from Sardinia and Corsica these animals are to be found in many areas of Europe.

Thank you Tarja for this great wildlife card from Finland  This card shows the local Moose that I am told weighs in at more than around 7oo kilograms ..they are such a majestic looking animal ..These Moose are involved in many car accidents a year .and are extemely dangerous if approached .there are estimated to be more than 100,000 living the Forrests of Finland.. The SAIGA ANTELOPE: .( Saiga Tatarica )
The Saiga Anelope is a critically endangered antelope that originally inhabited a vast area of the  Eurasian Steppe zone to the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains and Caucuses into Dzungaria and Mongolia. They also lived in Beringian North America in the Pleistocene period.Today the domnant sub species is only found in one location in Russia (in the Republic of Kalmikya ) and three areas in Kazakhstan (The Ural , Ustiurt and Betpak-Dala populations ) A proportion of the Estiurt population migrates south to Ubekistan  and occasionally Turkmenistan in the winter., it is now extint in the Peoples Republic of China.and southwest Mongolia ., it was hunted extensively in Roumani and Moldova until it became extinct in those regions in the end of the 18th Century. The Mongolian sub -species is only found in Western Mongolia.

A welcomed card arrived with a delivery of many today.. This card shows a "nine banded" Armadillo..very prolific in the south west of The USA..This card although is from a fellow Postcrosser in Wisconsin,Thank you so much for this card

Armadillo : Are a New World Placental Mammal with a leathery armoured shell. Also survivor families in this order of "Cingulatas "are part of the super order of " Xenarthra along with the anteaters and sloths.. The word Armadillo means "Little armoured one " in Spanish and Aztecs called them the turtle rabbit All species are native to the Americas where they inhabit a variety of different environments..
