  I have really gotten to like this series of State Birds and Flowers  Postcards of The USA.. 
   Thank you Arnold for swapping with me for  this card another one in this series. This card shows The State Bird of Rhode Island  and I must say a very familiar bird with everyone..  This is The     Rhode Island Red Rooster.. and a great looking bird he is too.  The State Flower of Rhode Island is the most lovely Violet . Thanks Again Arnold.

Newport RI  USA.

A lovely scenic Lantern Press card showing a winter montage of Newport Rhode Island  with some various scenes of Newport ..  I particularly asked for this card as has great memories of my visit there and also to be  one of many visitors to the Ameriacas Cup challenge with Australia.. so lucky to have good friends there and  such a wonderful place to visit with great people and great food. My days sailing out there on the bay were wonderful.

RHODE ISLAND :  Located in The New England region Rhode Island is te smalest state in the USA. On May 4th 1776 Rhode Island became the first of 13 colonies to renounce their allegiance to the British crown. Rhode Islands official "nickname" is The Ocean State.a reference to the fact that the stae has several large bays and inlets that relate to about 14% of the total area. Narraganset is the major feature of the Staes topography. There are more than 30 islands within the bay .Providence is the capital of Rhode Island and the biggest city.
