San Marino is the smallest and oldest Republic in the world ! San Marino is a small country and a Micro State in southern Europe an enclave of Italy and is located in north eastern side of the Apennine Mountains. San Marino covers an area of 61 SQ kilometers. and has a population of 33,562 inhabitants. The currency is the Euro and The language is Italian. This is one of four small countries ( principlaities ) in Europe the other three being Andorra ( Spain ) , Monaco ( France ) and Lichtenstein ( Switzerland ).
