 Another lovely colouful card  from this tiny Pricipality showing the women of an area of  Lie in Liechtenstein in red National Dress  .. other areas have various coloured dresses.. FAMOUS : Liechtenstein is a land of true Neutrality :and back up their stance of being 100 % neutral by not having an  actively serving military at any given time.
HISTORY :Independence as Neutrality : 12th July 1806 Treaty of Pressburg:
  1866 Separation from German Confederation.
EARLY HISTORY : Neolithic farming settlements were founded in the valleys of Liechtenstein around 5300 BC.

 AREA : Leichtenstein covers an area of 160 KM2 .and is in western Europe.
 CAPITAL.The Capital of Liechtenstein is Vaduz.:
POPULATION.: The population of Leichtenstien is 37, 340 inhabitants.
SIZE : Liechtenstien is an Alpine  Micro State and with only 37,000 people in roughly 62 Square Miles Liechtenstein is one of the smallest countries in the world.
FAUNA : The great difference in altitude between the lowest elevation  ( 430 meters) and The highest elevation ( 2599 Meters ) means that Liechtenstein is home to a very diverse range of fauna.
BORDERS.: Liechtenstien does not have any Maritime borders and is completely landlocked between two Nations  Switzerland and Austria.

 A rare and different card from a great little European Principality. So unusual to get a card from these Principalities. This one shows the marvellous Castle in Vaduz overlooking a magnificent view of some stunning mountain scenery. Thank you so much Rosmarie for taking time out to send me this card and wonderful  Chinese Lunar New Year 2015 "Year of the Goat"  stamp issued and postmarked by The Liechtenstein Postal Service.

 This is a very welcomed and must say unusual card .. This card is posted from the Principality of
 Lichtenstein..one of only four Principalities in Europe..it depicts The Olympic Stadium in Beijing for the "Paralympics of 2008" with cancelled stamps and postmarks of Lichtenstein...This is a great card.

 A visit here was a must on my road trip back to Denmark after a long summer vacation trip through southern  Europe.   The scenery in the Alps here is one of sheer enjoyment although the temperature change from sea level was immediately noticeable. This is a souvenir card that I got here of my visit.

 Liechtenstein . A principality in the Alps  that is a doubly landlocked German speaking Alpine country and micro state in Central Europe that is bordered by Switzerland to the south and west and Austria to the north and east its area is just over 160 square kilometers ( 62 sq. miles ) The population is usually around 35,000 with Vaduz being the Capital, although the largest town is Shaan .Liechtenstein has the highest gross domestic product (GDP )  per person than anywhere in the world,  Also boasts the lowest unemployment rate at around 1.5 %. Liechtenstein is the richest ( per measure of GDP per capita ) country in the world and the only country that lies completely in the Alps.
