What a great surprise these cards are !!!  I received them early in December but have waited till now "The New  Year " of the Rat " 2020  to put them on my blog ...such lovely Chinese New Year cards ..That are my favourite theme of cards to collect ..as are the stamps.. this is a very nice stamp from The Aland Islands..Thank you so much Marie for thinking of me with these lovely CNY cards

LOCATION: of Aland is in the Aland Archipeligo of Islands.
UNIQUE to Aland is its location in The Aland Archipeligo which consists of some 6.700 named Islands about of which 60 are inhabited year around.
NAME : Aland's original name was in the "Proto Norse " language Ativa land which means "Land of water"
FAMOUS in Aland is the Kastelholm Castle , a Medieaval Castle built in the 1300's and restored between 1982 and 1989.
KOKAR ISLAND.: An isolated island where the ruins of a Medieval Franciscan Monastery is the main sight.
HISTORY :  Neolithic Comb Ceramic Culture : members of the culture started settling the Island in about 7,000 years ago after the Islands had begun to re emerge from the sea after being pushed down by the weight of the Continental ice of the latest ice age.
