   Thank you  Nicol for this lovely bridge card from the Land of a 1000 lakes.  a lovely train and bridge card to  add to my collection on my  postcard blog.  Thank you ...and you mention this is tthe only seven span arch bridge across the Mississippi and built in the late 1800's and part of The Correct Northern Railway. This is a Postcard United card..  Tank you and  I will scan the lovely stamps when scanner is repaired soon..

 A very surprise card from Volodya in Russia.   This very unexpected card was I maust say a really nice surprise after being laid low and feeling very bad with covid and its  many varied affects.  this was a nice surprise  I thank you very much Volodya..  and will gladly add this to my postcard blog !!   I  must also appologise for the late registration of receiving this card as I have been really out of it.  Thank you once agian my dear Volodya...

  What a wonderful card that has recently arrived  from The Island of Svalbard  in Norway  This is a postcrossing meet up card that was organised last year apparently as it is difficult to visit this Isnad and numbers are limited  I thank you so much ( Tak ) Else for thinking of me with this card my first card from Svalabard , Also special post cancellation ..  The card shows a family of Polar Bears !   Mange Tak !   A great surprise today as my card that I sent to myself via Post Office in the Cocos Keeling  Islands has arrived .  I also posted  this card ...along with many other cards to friends from these Islands  .  I trust that they will all be arriving  for them soon . The card shows this lovely beach scene on Prison Island .

  Chichen Itza  MEXICO.:

  WOW..  What a great surprise this great card from Mexico and the World Heritage Site ..and also wonder of the World.  Chichen Itza in Mexico.  This amazing pyramid of Aztec culture  is  being a Wonder of The World is a huge attraction for tourists and sight seeres from all over the world.  They say that at  the spring and fall equinoxes  (March 21st ) the north face is the scene of Kulkans deccent to earth. Thank you so much Mel for this great card I am sure that your visit there was a great experience it is on my "bucket list " too.. Thanks again hugs..

 Another in this lovely series of State Birds and Flowers THis card shows the State Bird of New Hampshire "The Purle Finch" and what a lovely looking little bird it is  also shown is The State Flower of New Hampshire "The Purple Lilac" also a lovely coloured flower.    A great rail card showing this suspended railway in Wuppertal in Germany that has been operating since 1801. This is an unusual railway train as it is suspended 10 meters above the ground ..operating at a distance of 13 kilometers in the town of Wuppertal in Germany  Thank you so much Sabine forthis nice and unusual card .This is a surprise card !Thank you also for adding the Postcrossing stamp.

         What a great card !. This  surprise card  arrived today from a friend in Singapore who always thinks of me with train cards . This is a great card sent from Hanoi and shows the "Kam Then Street " train  where the train goes through the neighbourhood and as it does it iis so close to shops and housing that the shop owners must put up their awnings so that the train does not hit them..  this is a place that I wanted to visit but I beleive now that this has been suspended.  Thank you so much Adriana  you are so kind in thinking of me with this card from your recent visit to Hanoi !

  This is something that I read and  was just so impressed  by that I just had to add this story to my blog. !!  We as humans think we are so good and strong with enourmous endurance !and are the best on the planet !! Well, I've got news for you.!! having read this article and looking at this luttle birds Amazing acheivement I felt commpelled to share it. I hope that you share the same interest in this amazing story as I do!    This is endurance !

                                           WORLD CHAMPION RECORD HOLDER .

 THE  BATAILED GODWIT :
  This story begins with this very young juvenile bird of some five months old  that was "tagged "leaves  YK Delta Alaska  on the 13th October 2022 on its most amazing flight to Australia of some 13,560 kilometers in  11 days .. NON STOP !  unbeleivable.. to think that this was a non stop flight without food and water ,sleep .with an average of 51 km/hr for 11 days.!The flight ended in Ansons Bay  Tasmania Australia on the 24th of October 2022.  This amazing feat of endurance has  beaten, and created a  new World Record for the longest continual flight of  a bird   The bird arrived and is lterally skin and bone using all its bodyweight to make the flight , and now rests to build up its strength again..  I find this so amazing ! I think of all that stormy weather encountered on this little birds journey !!
 The above  Maxi Postcard is a  First Day release by Australia Post in Seaspray Tasmaninia3851 on  18th May 2021  " Entitled Migratory Sea Birds"
