Australia

Gunning : N.S.W.

A weekend visit to this small town of Gunning in the Southern Highlands of N.S.W. and a surprise birthday dinner...so good ...such a great pub with excellent food and beer..Thank you Kristy and Graham for your generosity this day..This is a souvenir card of this little town and the event.

Oklahoma City : OK.
 I really was anticipating my trip to Oklahoma as I put my bag in Gordy's UV.. A new State and some really great stuff coming up.. somewhere new is always a real" buzz." this was no exception. There was a stop off for lunch in a huge Casino complex on the way to our destination Oklahoma City. Here we were to visit some grand sights.. The highlight of course was the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum ..This would have to be one of the best Museums that I have ever been through
 This wonderful Museum was a surprise highlight of my visit to Oklahoma City recently..Quite an amazing place to visit and one the greatest Museums that I have seen in the world. To see and appreciate this fine Museum you will need a full day to see all of the wonderful items on display here ranging from wonderful Western and Native American paintings to Firearms, Hand Crafted Leather saddles, bridles, holsters. belts, name it. sculptures, wood carvings,so much of everything western..

OKLAHOMA...ANOTHER US STATE VISITED.

 I DRIVE A SHORT PART OF ROUTE 66..THIS IS BETHANY. OK.

and really just so much to list..This card is a souvenir of that visit..and would go again given the opportunity. This was a destination that I had on my must see list while going on my "Around The USA by Train " journey June - August 2013

 Hi Birgit..Thanks again for  a great colourful multi view card...You must be really tired after walking 160 kilometers from Grenada to Cordoba.. I can't imagine me doing that..This is one place in Spain that I have always wanted to visit and haven't so far..Thank you once again for this card..

        This card certainly shows in its many multi views the beauty of this great city...A wonderful place to visit and I for one would love to return.. This was a major destination on My "Around The World " by train journey as it was here that there was in Krakow a big VT meeting or fellow travelers from worldwide.. This was a wonderful five days and long nights spent here amongst some really wonderful people..and fellow travelers. Krakow itself is such a beautiful city like so many that I have just visited with  the likes of Tallinn, Riga, Kaunus, and Warsaw.. But,,,its the people that make it so enjoyable..thank you VT'ers it was a blast.
These old cities are so enchanting with scenes reminisent of views like the scenes on "chocolate boxes.". I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and am sure I will return.  This is a postcard souvenir from my visit here next stop Prague Czech Republic.

Manawatu Gorge : NZ.

 A really colourful view of a train negotiating the Manawatu Gorge by the Manawatu River. The Manawatu River rises in the eastern Ruahine ranges and defying logic, flows westward to reach the sea near Foxton.The road through the gorge was built under extreme difficulties and hardships in 1871-1872 and instability still is a major problem there..Thanks for this card Heather..

MT.Laurel : NJ.

 A magnificent locomotive on this card.. A K4's Commuter Train from the 50's  .From the predominent class of steam passenger engine used on the Pennsylvania railroad from 1914 to 1957 This K4's Pacific type Steam Locomotive No.3750  pulled the funeral train of President Warren G Harding in 1923.  In 1987 The Pennsylvania State Legislature proclaimed the K4's to be Commonwealths official Steam Engine..Thanks so much again Sylvia for taking time out and sending this great train card..Posted Mt.
