A lovely card showing the massed Pipes and Drums of various Scottish Regiments on parade in Edinburgh Castle for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This is an event that I have always wanted to see but have never been in Edinburgh at the correct time..There is something about the sounds of massed Pipes and Drums. My brother Barry represented Australia here in a pipe and drum band from Sydney.I think that would be a great experience. Thank you Lynette for sending me this lovely card .

SWEDEN.:

"Greetings from" Sweden  ..another in this nice series of cards .. The card shows the statistics of Sweden, a country with a population of 9, 658,301 , who live in an area of 449,964 KLM 2.  Kebnekaise is the Highest mountain in the country at 2,106 meters. "Dala Horse" is a painted and decorated wooden horse that is a symbol of Sweden and there are also 300,000 moose in Sweden. The traditional Swedish houses are painted in red color a paint made in Falu.

A pretty card fro The Green Mountain National Forrest in Manchester Vermont card shows The Lye Brook Falls and are located in The Lye Brook Wilderness Area. Another card from my mate who always sends me a card from her various visits.. Here we have a card from Louisiana showing the Fleur de Lis..Known as The" Flowers of the Lily"  The Fleur de Lis is a styelised Lily that has traditionally been used to represent French Royalty. While appearing on the State and  City flags for years the Fleur de Lis has become the symbol of re birth and renewal in Louisiana after the destruction and devistation of Hurricane Katrina on August 29th 2005.

 A nice card fro a friends visit to This great City ..A card fro Alcatraz Federal Penetentiary used to house the most dangerous prisoners in the country..reputedly escape proof. few escaped no known survivors.Thank you Lynette for this card brings back memories of my visit back in 1988...A very interesting place to visit...that is now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Areas.
