 The Sunderbans National Park : the largest estuarine mangrove forrest in the world is a National Park , Tiger reserve and a Unesco World Heritage Site and a biosphere Reserve and located in The Sunderbans Ganges River Delta bordering the Bay of Bengal in west Bengal. This site is also on the Unesco World Network of Biosphere Reserves.The Sunderbans as a whole encompasses more than 10.000 KM2 of land and water , about 6,000 Km2 in India and the balance in Bangladesh.The entire basin is traversed by a complex network of interconnecting canals and waterways. The region is densely covered by mangrove forrests and is one of the largest reserves for the Bengal Tiger , it is also home to a variety of Birdlife , reptile and inverterbrate species including the salt water crocodile..
