I really like receiving these lovely black / white cards of indigenous peoples in national dress. This card is of an Inuit woman of Alaska.Ugiyaku : -Nunivak ...Thanks Arnold for this another great card swap..
Ugiyaku is a young Inuit woman lived on Nunivak Island in western Alaska. She is elaborately ornamented with beaded lip" labrets" .Her nasal septum is is pierced with a small beaded ring or hook .Such adornment was thought to enhance awomans beauty and was a source of great pride.
