CAPITAL CITY: of Iceland is Reykjavik.
NATIONAL SYMBOL : of Iceland is The Puffin bird.
BAY OF SMOKES : is the meaning of the name "Reyjkavik" and is the most northern capital city in the world.
LIGHTS : The Northern lights and Midnight sun..being located very close to the Arctic Circle Iceland experiences long winter nights and long summer days with almost 24 hours of darkness / twilight in December and nearly 24 hours of daylight in June.
VOLCANOES: Iceland is home to more than 100 volcanoes and contains more than one third of the lava flows found on earth.100% of the total land mass of Iceland is either covered by cooled lava beds or Ice glaciers.
HORSES.:The Horses in Iceland were bought by Viking Ships by settlers to Iceland in the 9th Century.
SURNAMES.: The last names of Icelanders are names of their parentsplus the word "son" for men and daughter for women.
