Thank you again Keith for this and other cards from your recent journey to The Philippines.. This colourful card shows the many masks of festival goers at this "The Masskara Festival"that is held in Bacolod city..
Masskara is coined from the word "mass" which means crowd and the Spanish word "cara" that means face. The two words combined have become the local word for "Mask". The festival showcases colourful costumes of masks made out of papier mache and molded clay. The Masskara Festival is held on the weekend closest to October 19th.
