Auckland : NEW ZEALAND :
This is a special card that myself and a few friends have participated in a card swap commemorating The Centennary of Armistice Day 1918 for the end of WWI. (1918-2018).A lovely old card showing this Armistice day .The card shows The gallant boys marching through the streets in a welcome home celebration Parade for them on ANZAC DAY 1919.. I beleive this is in Auckland ! also noted are the battle names of the areas these troops fought on the facade of the building. Many of the names represent battles fought togeather with The New Zealand Mounted Rifles and The Australian Light Horse.(.ANZACS ) All of these these battles in various palces , like the rest , were hard fought with many casualties ,killed and wounded ,also a large loss of brave and wonderful horses.
Thank you so much Susan for being a part of our Centennary commemoration card swap all cards were canceled and then posted on the 12th day of the 11th month., as the Post Offices were closed on the 11th day as it was a Sunday
Posted New Zealand 12 November 2018 .Arrived Sydney 15 November : Traveled 3 days.. Thank you again Susan..also the beautiful centennary armistice stamp..
