IRELAND : Located in Europe. ( EIRE ) The CAPITAL CITY is Dublin.:
AREA: Ireland covers an area of over 84,421 KM2. with a POPULATION of 4,726,000
SYMBOL: The National Symbol of Ireland is the Shamrock.
FAMOUS IRISH include : Bono, Oscar Wilde , Pierce Brosnan , Sinead O' Connor.
Pubs : Sean's Bar in a pub in Athlone claims to be the oldest pub in Ireland dating back to900 AD.
IRELAND is a snake free Island due to its isolation from the European mainland Ireland also lacks several other species that are found in Europe ie:Moles , Weasels , polecats or Roe Deer.
LIGHTHOUSE: The Hook Lighthouse is thought to be the oldest working light house in Europe or possibly in the world. The first lighthouse on that spot dates back to the 5th Century.
LEPRECHAUN: The original Irish name for these figures of folklore is"lobaircin"meaning small bodied fellow.
SHEEP LAND : Ireland has 4.726,00 inhabitants and has over 5,500,000 sheep .more sheep than people.!
