What a great card.. Thanks Mel you always make me smile with the cards that you send me..This card is of The Union Station In Washington DC.This is the a major Train Station, Transport hub and leisure destination and was opened in 1907. This is also Headquarters of Amtrak rail network America and is the second busiest Station in The country. with an annual ridership of over five million  .I guess Chicago must be first,,as that is huge. This is a most beautiful Station and I have caught some major train journeys here ..There is also a great food hall here to be enjoyed too between journies .Thank you so much for this great card Mel ..I love it !

at first I couldn't work out what this card was !!!This is from The zoo in Wrocklaw and shows this green tree snake..not sure what type..it is easy to see the camouflage he must have in a tree.Thank you Magdalena for this card..Thanks for the kind message also.

 This is a really colourful set of newly "First Day " released cards by Australia Post .This is a lovely set of maxi cards and stamps.showing some of the various Marine life on the Great Barrier Reef. Released Cairns Queensland 4870 and  Postmarked August 01 2018.

 What a great surprise card ..Thanks Charlie and Anne .Really appreciate your kind thoughts finding and sending this card to me on your busy trip...such a really different destination...and imagine it must have been really interesting ..was a bummer that the post Office had no stamps..Wow...what a great destination..This is my first card from any of these Islands and I thank you mate..

THE CONFICT GROUP .:Located in Oceania.and  is an atoll in Papua New Guinea and is part of the  group of Islands in the Louisiade Archipeligo. in The Solomon Sea.The Islands are under the administration of The Papuan New Guinea Government. This group of Islands were first sighted in 1879 by the HMS Cormorant. by moonlight and wasafter  named in 1880 by "Bower" The Captain of HMS Conflict. "Irai Island" is the center of population of the group the small " Panasea Island" has an eco-resort with a small staff. The ethnic groups on the Islands consist of Papauans , Melansians and Austronesians.

MHS Coflict: was a schooner of the Royal Navy built by John Cuthbert at Millers Point New South Wales (just by the Sydney Harbour Bridge today) and was launched on the 11th February 1873.
