China.

Hong Kong.: ( ROC.)

Thank you Amelia for this interesting card showing a classical Chinese musical instrument called  a "Pipa " This is a four stringed instrument belonging to the Plucked category of instruments. Sometimes called The Chinese "lute"  The instrument has a pear shaped wooden body with a varying number of frets ranging from 12  26. Another Chinese four stringed plucked lute is called the liuqin which looks like a smaller version of the"Pipa."Thank you Amelia. Posted Hong Kong:19  June 2013
