Thank you for this card Anny.. I really appreciate you sending me this card!..I wanted to visit this War Memorial near Sandaken on my last visit but did not get that far north.. This card shows The entrance to the Kinabalu National Memorial , Kundasung, Sabah. This Memorial is a tribute to The many Australian and Allied Prisoners of War and also the many local peoples who died helping the POWS ,and paid a high price for doing so. So Many Australian prisoners died here at the hands of the Brutal Japanese military forces after being captured and incacerated many were just executed on their "Death Marches" to Ranau during WWII.
