Eden : N.S.W.
This lovely card arrived in my mailbox within this very unusual and unique envelope from a fellow Postcrosser here in New South Wales..at first I wasn't sure really what the letter was about..and upon closer inspection saw it to be a really unique envelope sent with this really nice card showing the locally famous "Three Sisters" formation within the Blue Mountains National Park west of Sydney. A very popular National Park that attracts many visitors from all over the world along with its many wonderful walking trails and various forms of transportation within the area of the three sisters..A lovely place to visit on a very hot day in Sydney city with its cool mountain breezes and wonderful wildlife especially the prolific birdlife ...Parrotts , Lorrikeets , and Cockatoos..to be seen and photographed. This is a real birdwatchers paradise and great for scenic photography..The Blue Mountains National Park is also joined with other National Parks and within the huge area that it encompasses includes The Wollemi National Park , The Ku- ring gai National Park which all togeather with the Blue Mountains Nationa Park encompass an area of more than one million hectares..Many hikers walk the trails within these National Parks and many amateur hikers get lost creating many problems for local rescue services.. This area can also be very dangerous in the popular summer time with its many devistating bushfires.Local information Centre at the Three Sisters advises hikers and day trippers of weather and fire conditions within the park also to the many points of interest
.This is well managed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife .
Thank you Sharon for this lovely card and also the unique envelope ..
