Sydney : AUSTRALIA.:
A lovely colourful card showing the local Australian parrot called a "Galah" These birds are prolific in inland areas of N.S.W and are to be seen in large groups on the ground foraging for seeds and grasses.also can be seen in huge flocks in the country and make a lovely sight in flight showing alternate flashes of pink and grey. These birds also tend to gather in large numbers on and around inland country roads feeding on the grass and many a motorist has been bought to a stop running into a flock taking off from the side of the highway !! The term "galah " in Australia can be used when calling someone a fool or idiot..A lovely coloured bird with deep pink body, light pink to white head and comb with grey wings and tail..a lovely Aussie iconic parrot..
