                                                 THE REALLY LONG  BUSSELTON JETTY

                                                                MARGARET RIVER

Busselton : WA.         (Journey #1 )

This card depicts the amazingly clear blue waters of Busselton in Geographe Bay . The wooden pile pier here is the longest in the Southern Hemisphere and goes out to more than 2 kilometers into the bay. A long time favourite with fishermen and divers alike . This is rated as one of the best dive sites in Western Australia with a rich and diverse variety of marine life making their home around the wooden piles of the jetty.. A swim here was a welcomed event on the day I was there as it was really hot..The waters were so clear it was difficult to gauge the depth.. This is my souvenir card of my visit here in Busselton. This was one of many stops here along this wonderful coastline of South Western part of Western Australia.on my road trip through Southern Western Australia on my "Around the World by Train " journey.
