A souvenir card from my visit here on our way north...Emerald is..as the name suggests, famous for its gem stones, and many prospectors and "Fossickers" come here to see what they can find ..a prospectors permit and some hard work and you never know what you will find..We had some good luck in the gem fields of Queensland..having fun and "fossicking" for stones. The town of Emerald also is in the heart of Cattle Country and the steaks here are enormous and as big as the friendliness of the local country people.
