I am very luck lately with my chase for these "Greetings From " cards posted from country of origin.. Thank you Lisa for this one from Kazakhstan... I love it.!! I always enjoy receiveing the GF cards as I have collected them for some time now...and love all their" facts and figures

CAPITAL CITY: The Capital city of Kazakhstan is Almaty.
POPULATION : of Kazakhstan is 17,563, 300 inhabitants.
SPACE : The first artificial space satellite , Sputnik 1 and also the first man launched into space " Yuri Gagarin" have been launched into space from Kazakhstan's Baikonur Cosmodrome.
FOOD: "ALMATY" All sorts of Apples in the world are derived from Almaty. Almaty means " A place full of Apples "or Apple City. Almaty is also home of the biggest apples called "Aport"
LAKE : The Lake Balkhashin Kazakhstan is one of the largest lakes in the world.One part of the lake contains fresh water and the other is made up of Salt water !!
FAMOUS KAZAKHISTANIS : include ,Al-Farabi , Gennady Golovkin , Marat Bisengaliyev , Marat Zhylanbayev.
DRINK : Kazakhstan's traditional drink has been referred to as "milk champagne" and is made from fermented mares milk.
HIGHEST: KHAN TENGRI is the highest point in Kazakhstan, it is aslo the worlds most Northern 7000 metre mark.
POSTCROSSING : There are over 500 Postcrossers in Kazakhstan.
