What a surprise today to receive this card ..from Tajikistan.. Another for my collection of "Greetings from " cards..A very unusual card that I doubted that I would recieve..Also my first ever card from Tajikistan..Thank you so much Halim for this unusual card..and nice stamps also..

POPULATION.: The Population of Tajikistan is 8,610,000 inhabitants
RIVERS : There are more than 900 rivers in Tajikistan.
ANIMALS : The Fergana Valley has been famous since ancient times for its wonderful legendary horses..
FAMOUS TAJIKS : Include Avicenna , Jalolidden Rumi , Ismoil Somoni , Emomali Rahmon.
SILK ROAD: The Silk Road has been a major trade route Between China and Europe through Tajikistan . This area has been inhabited since 4000 BC.
Mountains : Tajikistan is covered by the Pamir Mountain Range with more than 50% of the country above 3,000 meters and 90% of the country is is considered mountainous. This region is also classed as the" Roof of the World"
UNIQUE : The Dunshanbe "Flagpole is the second tallest freestanding flagpole in the world at a height of 165 Meters.
MOUNTAIN: The Ismoil Somoni Peak Is the highest point in Tajikistan at a height of 7,495 Meters.
POSTCROSSING : There are only 9 Postcrosser members in Tajikistan.
