"Greetings from " PORTUGAL" Another in this series of cards that I really like and collect all now..Portugal has an area of some 92 212 KLM2, with 10, 487,289 inhabitants and is bordered by Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, The Capital City is Lisbon and Lisbon is the second oldest European capital city after Athens and was settled by the Phoenicians around 1200 BC.and is older than Rome.!!
The Post crossing project that I am so fond of was started by Paulo Magalhaes who launched the website on July 14 2005..This has become a worldwide hobby for some hundreds of thousands of postcard friends who love 'Snail mail " and send each other cards from allover the world..Portuguese is spoken in 9 countries in the world by over 220 million people. The card shows The Vasco De Gama Bridge in Lisbon and is the longest bridge in Europe with a length of 17,185 Meters. the Rooster of "Barcelo" is is the National Emblem of Portugal.
