United States of America.

Charleston : SC.

This is  a big card and shows a wonderful aerial photograph of Fort Sumter also shown is the interior of some of the Fort.  Fort Sumter is a National Monument. This Fort was the scene of the opening battle of The American Civil War which began on April 12th , 1861. and after a 34 hour siege , the Fort commanded by Major Robert Anderson and his detatchment of Union troops , surrendered. The Fort was then occupied by the Confederates and remained in their hands until shortly before the end of the war on February 17th 1865. Thank you Deborah for this fine card swap..
