Australia

Cape Naturaliste. Western Australia..The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse was built in 1903 to aid the navigationof shipping along the Western Australian coastline. Both the Lighthouse Tower and the Keepers Cottages are built of locally quarried limestone from Bunker bay. The lens itself was made by the English firm Chance Bros. Using prism crystal and is now valued at $ 5 million. The range of the light beam is 26 nautical miles..
A souvenir card posted home from my visit here , another wonderful spot in this corner of Western Australia on my Road -trip in the SW.  and my "Around the World by Train " journey... April  2009
