Today I received another nice surprise in my mailbox and that was a "Greetings from " card from Slovenia..These are a favourite with me showing all the different countries statistics and I like to collect them all that are posted from country of origin, Thank you Eva for posting this for me on your holiday...

The CAPITAL CITY is Ljubijana . Known for its famous Skiers as Slovenia has one of the most succesful skiers Their Ski masters Include: Alpine:Tina Maze , Jumping : Robert Kranjec , Biathlon :Jakov Fak.
Slovenia also has the title of The worlds oldest grape vine located in Maribor. Famous Slovenians include :
Primoz Trubar , France Preseren :Joze Plecnik :and Ivana Koblica : .Slovenia is also known as The Land of Forests and is the third most forested country in Europe with over 60% of its territory is covered by forests.
The Planica Ski Jump used to be the largest ski jump in the world and has hosted over 60 ski jump world records. TRIGLAV : is, with its elevation of 2,864 Meters the highest mountain in Slovenia and the highest peak in the Julian Alps. Brown Bears biggest populations are to be found in Slovenia with numbers to be between 500 and 700. SLOVENIA has 800 POSTCROSSING members.
