A welcomed card from Taiwan from a fellow postcard club member...and I really like these "Greetings From" series of postcards and now that the Australian card has been produced  I can reciprocate with fellow card collectors as they are best stamped from country of origin..

 This card shows Taiwan and statistics of the country with some interesting facts.
TAIWAN ISLAND  is an area of 36, 193 KM2.
 POPULATION of 23,373,517 inhabitants and contains over 53,000 Postcrossing members...amazing !!
SPORT :Baseball is the National sport of Taiwan.
 TALLEST BUILDING :Taipei 101 is the is the county's tallest building and is the 6th tallest building in the world.it also has the worlds fastest elevator (lift )You can reach the 89th floor from the first floor in just 38 seconds !!!
 NAMED.The country was originally named Formosa by the Portuguese in the 16 th century.."
 DRINK Bubble Tea" is a popular local drink that originated in Taiwan in the 1980's and is made with milk and tapioca pearl..also known as "Boba".
 FAMOUS TAIWANESE :are  Jason Wu,  Ang Lee, Lin Hwai-Min, and Hou Hsiao Hsien.
 CATS.: Hutong  is a "cat village in a small mining town where there are hundreds of stray cats to be seen also known as "Cat Village."
