ONE OF MANY POOLS AT PAMUKKALE

WISH I BROUGHT MY SWIMMERS !!
 Pamukkale.:
The small bus from Denzili dropped us at the gate of This Unesco Site and  was really excited about my visit...Pamukkale can be seen from many miles away sitting at the top of the mountain as we approached the area ..its vivid whiteness standing out in the morning sunshine..This really was a beautiful hot summers day to visit here the pools of Pamukkale. Although there were quite a few visitors there were so many various pools there was it seemed plenty of room to relax in the pools. I was sorry That I forgot my swimming trunks and would have loved to have had a soak in the pools as all others were doing..The pools water was quite warm but cooling nevertheless in the heat of the day after the long walk through Hierapolis..
Pamukkale means " Cotton Castle " in Turkish and is a natural site in Denzili Province in south western Turkey. The city is very popular for its hot springs and "Travertines " the terraces of carbonate minerals left by the cascading flowing water. Located in Turkeys Aegean region it has a temperate climate for most of the year. Thank you so much Sema for making this day so enjoyable..
